The little girl telling the story explains the differences between being a baby and being the big sister and how she can be a helper to her parents. The story is short and sweet. The illustrations are darling. This is a book that families can enjoy with their children again and again.

I've been reading this to our 2 year old daughter and it's really helped prepare her for her baby sister. She went from very resistant to very excited.  

My nearly 3 year old daughter loves her big sister book. It make her feel special!

I bought this for my 6 year old who became a big sister and she loved it! She enjoyed it and all I wanted was for her to feel special and get used to the idea of becoming a big sister and this book definitely helped

This book is exactly what's needed for a soon to be NOT 'only child.' It makes him feel just as special AFTER his baby brother or sister is born, the same as he was before! A very cute read!
 
Very easy to understand and shows new big brothers what will soon be happening when the new baby arrives. It emphasizes how important he will be to his mom, dad and new baby.

I bought this book to give to my 3yr old son for Valentines Day and we read it all the time! He tells everyone he is going to be the best big brother! Baby is now due in the next two weeks and he talks all about how he gets to have a cupcake and how he will help when the baby gets here. I truly believe this book helped prepare him! I even bought a copy for a friends son who just became a big brother!
